Studied Hand Embroidery with the Royal School of Needlework. Based in Surrey.
Currently working as a self-employed Jewellery designer maker.
The work derives from Grace's love of both the raw and cut gemstone. The vibrancy of the colours and the structured forms have been reflected through combining both embroidery and jewellery. The embroidery is inspired by diagrammatic references that show how a gemstone is cut. The structured, formal silk shading has been combined with the beautiful, organic free flowing goldwork which reflects the free flowing form of a gemstone.
Grace has been working with precious metals to create beautiful jewellery items, inspired by the raw and cut gemstone. By combining both the jewellery making techniques and embroidery she is creating something new and unique. Grace is continuing to develop the collection and explore new ways of translating stitch into jewellery.
